Since the candidate has to surrender all the original certificates to the concerned Principal of the University College/Principal of the Affiliated Colleges where he/she gets admission before payment of course fee, he/she is advised to keep sufficient number of Attested Photostat copies of all the certificates with him/her, for their use after the admission process. Once the original certificates taken by the authorities, they will not be issued until the candidate completes the course.

The details of the courses, and other particulars are given in the Admission Brochure of AUCET-2004. However, certain important rules and regulations are given hereunder for ready reference.

Candidates should have passed the qualifying examination and acquired the eligibility for admission and shall produce evidence to that effect at the time of Admission Interview. No extension of time for producing the evidence shall be granted and no representation whatsoever will be entertained in the matter.

The admission is purely provisional. If any candidate gets admission by producing false information, certificates, his/her admission will be cancelled without any intimation.

Candidate will forfeit his/her claim for admission into the course, if he/she fails to be present at the venue by the specified time and date and report to the Admission Committee, when his/her name is called upon. No correspondence will be entertained. The candidates (non-scholarship holders) are also informed that,, for any reason, if they want to discontinue the course in the middle of the year, they have to pay the entire course fee, i.e., two years fee, and take the Transfer Certificate.

As per the UGC guidelines, every student admitted into full-time course must possess a minimum of 75% of attendance to be allowed to write the examination. Minimum attendance of 75% does not mean that the students can abstain from classes for the remaining 25%. The student shall attend all the classes. The 25% attendance or part thereof can be condoned only on valid reasons, on application by the candidate to the University through proper channel and on payment of prescribed fee. A student must take prior permission of the Head of the Department concerned for his/her absence to the classroom attendance, on genuine reasons. If any student is found producing fake/fraud medical certificate in support of his absence from class-work, the admission of such candidate will be cancelled at any time and a case will be filed with the police. No student will be permitted to write the examination, if he/she is absent without any valid reason.

Payment of residential scholarships in respect of all categories of students is conditional on their putting a minimum attendance of 75% in the College in each quarter. If the candidate puts in less than 75% of attendance for valid reasons, he/she shall be paid scholarship in proportion to the attendance. Those who are absent themselves without valid reasons will not be paid any scholarship.

SC/ST/BC-C candidates seeking admission into PG courses and whose parental/guardian annual income does not exceed Rs. 50,920/- (in case of professional courses) and Rs. 38,220/- (in case of non-professional courses) will be given fee concession at the time of admission, subject to their eligibility as per rules, provided they produce caste and income certificates obtained from the appropriate authority in the prescribed format. In case the income limit exceeds they have to pay full fee and they are not eligible to get scholarship from the Government. However, if the University does not receive reimbursement of tuition fee to the extent of fee amount from the Government of Andhra Pradesh, such candidates have to pay the prescribed fee as mentioned in the fee structure schedule against ?Others? column for that.

Listed Backward Classes candidates (BC-A, BC-B and BC-D) seeking admission into PG courses offered at AU Colleges, AU PG Centres at Etcherla (Srikakulam)and Kakinada and whose parental/guardian annual income does not exceed Rs. 44,500/- (in case of professional courses) and Rs. 33,400/- (in case of non-professinal courses) will be given fee concession at the time of admission, subject to their eligibility as per rules, provided they produce caste and income certificates obtained from the appropriate authority in the prescribed format. Hoping that the Government will reimburse an amount of Rs. 750/- we are allowing these candidates for fee concession in the regular stream seats to the extent of this amount only. (For payment and self-finance courses and courses offered at Affiliated Colleges, this concession is not effected). In case the income limit exceeds they have to pay full fee and they are not eligible to get scholarship from the Government.

The candidates belonging to SC/ST/LBC categories claiming fee concessions through their annual income limit, are hereby informed that they must produce the Latest Income Certificates issued by competent authority along with the Permanent Community Certificate. It is a must, otherwise, they have to pay the full fee as notified in the schedule, and it is further informed that they cannot claim such amount after their admission. Hence, they are directed to attend with all these certificates.

Whenever a candidate is admitted in any course, he/she is expected to study that particular course only and shall not be allowed to study any other full-time course or appear for any other examination either by private study or simultaneous admission in any other institution. However, they are eligible for admission into one year part-time Diploma courses offered in the University campus only.

Candidates with Graduate TCs are only eligible for admission into regular PG Courses and the candidates who did PG or discontinued PG Courses in University campus, PG Centres, affiliated colleges, Distance Education, Private Studies are not eligible for admission into regular PG Courses. Incase of M.A. HRD, M.A. Criminal Justice and Law Graduates are also eligible.

Physically Handicapped category: The candidates who seek admission through this category are directed to appear before the Panel of Doctors for physical verification along with the Disability Certificate (in original) issued by the District Medical Board of the concerned District, at the place, time and date noted in the Annexure-II, in the process of fixation of priorities among the candidates present. The admissions are based on the priorities fixed by the Panel of Doctors only and subject to availability of seats in the particular course/college, according to rules noted in the Admission Brochure and in University website www.andhrauniversity.info

Children of Armed Personnel category: The candidates who seek admission through this category are directed to appear before the Admission Committee along with all the original certificates including the certificate(s) issued by the competent authority, as per the formats given in the Admission Information Brochure., and given in the University Website at the place, time and date noted in the Annexure-II, in the process of fixation of priorities among the candidates present.

N.C.C. category: The candidates who seek admission through this category are directed to appear before the Admission Committee along with all the original certificates including the certificates required as per the Admission Information Brochure for verification by the Committee. The admissions are based on the priorities fixed by the Committee and subject to availability of seats in the particular course/college.

Sports category: The candidates who seek admission through this category are directed to appear before the Admission Committee along with all the original certificates including the certificates required as per the notings given at page No.5 under SPORTS subhead for verification by the Committee. The admissions are based on the priorities fixed by the Committee and subject to availability of seats in the particular course/college, according to rules mentioned in the Admission Brochure.
a) Only Local candidates are eligible for admission under Special categories, i.e.
Physically Handicapped/Sports/Children of Armed Personnel/NCC categories.
b) Candidates from Shri Padmavathi Mahila Viswavidyalayam, Tirupati belonging to AU
area are also be considered as local candidates.

Changes in admission schedule, if any, will be intimated through Registered Letters/News Papers/All India Radio. DO NOT RELY ON TELEGRAMS. THEY MAY BE FALSE.

Very limited Hostel accommodation is available for those students who get admission into University Campus Colleges. Hence, University can?t ensure hostel accommodation to all the students. Candidates seeking admission into hostels are advised to bring five copies of passport size photos and Xerox copies of caste and income certificate each in duplicate and the prescribed fee. Hostel admission will be made by the Chief Warden of the respective Hostel subject to availability of accommodation and also as per the University Hostel rules and the admission is subject to the roles of University Hostels in force from time to time. If the candidate gets Hostel admission, he she/ has to pay caution deposit fee of Rs. 2,000/- in the case of OC; Rs. 1,200/- in the case of LBC and Rs. 600/- in the case of SC/ST/BC-C. In addition to this, the candidate should also pay an amount of Rs. 250/- towards Hostel Development fee.

Please note that the candidates who get admission under self-finance category seats will be considered for hostel accommodation only after accommodating students under regular category and subject to availability of seats.

As regards the hostel accommodation in the Affiliated Colleges, it is subject to availability with them. For this, they have to enquire the respective College counters at the Admission Venue at the time of calling his/her name for Admission.

Candidate at the time of admission has to exercise his/her option, as per the list of colleges given in the admission information brochure of AUCET-2004 and according to number of vacancies available at the time of calling of his/her name by the Admission Committee. Once the option is exercised, no further changes will be made under any circumstances. The candidate has to select the course of study prior to the commencement of admission. When once a candidate opts for a particular course and particular college, either University College or Affiliated College, he/she has to continue in the same course. No sliding is allowed.

A student once admitted into a course will get his/her certificates only after completion of the course. However, these certificates will be returned to those candidates who secure jobs. As such, they are directed to keep sufficient Xerox copies of their certificates with them for any purpose whatever they require.

Ragging in any form by any student will make him/her liable for expulsion/punishment as per A.P. Ragging Act 26 of 1997 and subsequent verdict of the Hon?ble Supreme Court. The admitted candidates have to give an undertaking to this effect and hand it over to the concerned Principal of the College where he/she gets admission.

University reserves the right to fill or not to fill the seats though they are earmarked in this Interview Memo. University also reserves the right to cancel the admission memo, at any stage, even though already sent. All the admissions are purely provisional. University reserves the right to deny the admission of the candidates if the University finds the antecedents of the candidate bad. If the University finds the antecedents of the candidates bad subsequent to the admission of the candidate into any course, his/her admission shall be cancelled.

Examinations shall be conducted at the end of each semester/academic year. No supplementary examination will be conducted.
