Part-B Man's place in animal kingdom - Theories of evolution - Genetic basis of evolution - Random mating and Hardy - Weinberg equilibrium - Inbreeding and its consequences - Mutation and Selection - Heredity - and environment - Twin studies and their importance.
Part-C The concept of genetic polymorphism - Blood groups and their importance - Human chromosomes and diseases - Inborn errors of metabolism - Genetic counselling - General concepts of genetic engineering and Biotechnology.
