Eligibility

Any bachelor degree in Arts, Science or Commerce with Hindi as one of the subjects or any bachelor degree holder in Arts, Science or Commerce without Hindi as one of the subjects, but having a diploma such as Sahitya Ratna, Bhasha Praveena or Vidwan or Equivalent to that.


Syllabus for the Entrance Test

Test A

History of Hindi Literature-General trends of Old, Medieval and Modern periods

Test B

1. Hindi Gadya Sanchayan:- (i)Atma Nirbhanata (ii) Mitrata (iii) Padosi (iv) Bharat Ekhai (v) Samay per Milnevale. 2.Hindi Katha Setu:-(i) Dipti Collecteri (ii) Sakh (iii) Chief Ki dawat (iv) Kafan (v) Rasapriya. 3. Hindi Kavya Kusum:- (i) Kabir Sakhis - (from 1-10) (ii) Surdas (Bala Leela only) (iii) Rahim (1-10 dohas) (iv) Mithilishanan Gupta - Mathru Bhoomi (v) Sumitranandam Pant - Sukh-Dukh (vi) Harivamsh Rai Bachhan - Madhushala (vii) Girijakumar Mathur - Itihas, Vikrut Satya (viii) Dharma Veer Bharati - Thake Huae Kalakar Se.

Test C

Translation of sentences - Change of Number - Tense - gender - Correction of Sentences - usage of 'Nae', 'Mat', 'Chahiye', Ka, Ke,Ki, Construction of Sentences, in Hindi. Phrases - their meanings.

Test D

SYLLABI FOR ENTRANCE TESTS IN SCIENCES, ENGINEERING, ARTS & COMMERCE

The syllabus prescribed hereunder for the tests is generally the same as the one followed for the B.Sc./ B.Com. / B.A. Degree under the Common Core Sheme 1995-98, unless otherwise specified.

Note

B.Sc. Applied Science candidates are also eligible to seek admission into all the courses* for which the B.Sc. Graduates of the following combinations of optional subjects are eligible to appear for AUCET-2006 tests: 1. Mathematics - Physics - Chemistry; 2. Mathematics - Physics - Statistics; 3. Mathematics - Physics - Electronics; **4. Mathematics - Physics - Computer Science.

* except the following chemistry courses, viz., Analytical, Bio-inorganic, Environmental, Inorganic, Foods, Drugs & Water Analysis, Organic, Physical, Nuclear, Marine Chemistry and Bio-Chemistry.

** If the specialization in B.Sc. Applied Science course is Computer Science.
